Help, downgrading from Eden to 10.1 destroyed all my watched database :(
#1
Hi,

I just downgraded my Eden Beta 3 installation to the stable Dharma 10.1 release, but now all my watched status for video files is gone. This is some kind of catastrophy, can you please tell me why, and how to get that data back to XBMC?

It happened because Eden uses a different database version. It was upgraded the first time you ran XBMC after installing Eden. Maybe someone else can shed a different light on this, but as I understand, there really is no way to do a clean downgrade (read: fix your issue) unless you made a backup of your userdata folder before you upgraded to Eden. In which case you can restore your database from there.

The XBMC team, plug-in devs, skinners, etc. do this for us for FREE in their spare time because they want to. Think about that for a second before you start bitching...

I did this same thing today on accident. Fortunately it was on my test machine Smile

If you kept your database from Dharma, and you're using sqlite, then it should have just used the Dharma database. Obviously it has no idea how to read Eden databases, as, while we're good, we don't see the future.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.
