RC2 - Fails to initialise audio device
#1
I just installed RC2 of Eden and I can no longer get audio playback.

When navigating menus I get the menu sounds. When I playback a video I get an error "failed to initialise audio device"

Everything was working before this.

I am currently outputting audio over HDMI from the ATI onboard HDMI audio on my E-350 motherboard.

How strange.....turning my AV receiver off and on fixed it.

Seems to have been some sort of random handshaking issue.

Not uncommon with HDMI at all.
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon  AVR-3808CI  - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player  - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray  - X-Box 360  - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!

What audio device do you have set in Settings>System>Audio Device near the bottom of the page?

You have some non Eden plugin installed which throw up error and the logs also says:
Quote:ERROR: Creating a Null Audio Renderer, Check your audio settings as this should not happen

both of new atv2 have just jailbreaked, it's clear

i've just installed via:

apt-get install wget
wget -O- http://apt.awkwardtv.org/awkwardtv.pub | apt-key add -
echo "deb http://apt.awkwardtv.org/ stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/awkwardtv.list
echo "deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2 ./" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list
apt-get update
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
reboot

that's all, nothing more
i don't know Null Audio Renderer
