I want to add Planet Rock to the music library and have a .M3U playlsit saved from Winamp but nothing happens when I go into favourites and try to play it.
Contents of Planet Rock.m3u:

It's not a problem with the playlist, it's a problem with the stream. I tried putting:

http://tx.sharp-stream.com/icecast.php?i=planetrock.mp3

in a .strm file and it won't play. It opens then immediately closes again. The stream does play in mplayer, so there must be something about it that XBMC doesn't like.

Later: some further experiments show that XBMC v10.1 won't play it either. However ffplay and VLC will. I have a vague memory of problems with Shoutcast streams, but I can't remember the details.

Still present in eden rc.

Would be very nice if this gets fixed before eden final.
I got 3 Mails a week from users of my radio-addon which tell that some streams are not working
