XBMC won't play my music anymore
#1
Over Samba, when I try to start a .mp3 file it only "flashes" the screen and does'nt play. Latest build of Xbmc Eden. Is it because I change the connector on my motherboard for HD AUDIO instead of AC'97 ? Movies play fine with sound...

The debug log will probably tell you.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then wait a minute or two for all the startup tasks to finish. Now try to play some music and when it fails close XBMC.

Open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.
