Hi, I hope I'm posting in the correct area. Firstly please excuse my ignorance as I'm new to all of this. I recently jailbroke my appletv and have a question: I can't find "updateblocker" in Nito tv installs. Shouldn't it be there? Is it essential? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I believe NitoTV blocks updates automatically: http://forum.firecore.com/topic/7045#comment-31373
If not, this may still be valid (or at least of interest to you): http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=94634 I'm not all that intimate with the ATV2 so maybe someone else can chime in and confirm... *If I helped, please +rep below* Main HTPC: Core i5, 8GB RAM, SSD, Win7x64SP1, Frodo 12.1 Extenders: 3-AppleTV (CrystalHD 2.0) The XBMC team, plug-in devs, skinners, etc. do this for us for FREE in their spare time because they want to. Think about that for a second before you start bitching...

When you install XBMC it also installs update-be-gone. That should be all you need to do.

If you look under Nitotv, then click on install software it will tell you what is installed under Nito. You should see updatebegone installed. If not, there is a option to search for software. Enter updatebegone and install.
