Good Afternoon,

I am trying to set up sharing between my shared folder on my macbook and the apple tv 2.

I have tried nearly every combination of the server path that I can imagine but I just cannot get XBMC to connect.

Media Player on the apple tv does connect to it though just by using the AFP protocol and entering the ip address.

When I tried the same on the XBMC it doesn't work. I also tried adding what appears to be my shared folder path in addition and still cannot get it to connect.

Has anyone here been successful setting sharing between mac and apple tv with XBMC add on?

Media player and Xbmc don't play nice together. Remove media player and try again. Afp is flaky too. There is a free third party program you can install on lion to unbork smb sharing.

SMBUp is the program that will re-enable SMB sharing with XBMC, if AFP still gives you issues.
