Hi what i want to do if possible is have my two machines using the same files on either of the computers, so that i only have to manage one system and not both and by this i mean the library's the addons pretty much everything so that if i update it on one machine it will be exactly the same on the other but they both run individually still and don't want them synced like you have with mysql features.

Any help appreciated.

couldn't you use something like freefilesync to sync the folders over your network?

If you share DBs without using MySQL, and two machines access the DBs at the same time, then they'll screw up the library DBs.
