New Build
#1
I'd like to build a new PC for my living room HTPC. All me media is stored on a NAS so I don't need much storage.

What I want is a small form factor but enough horsepower to flip through graphics, DVD art, fanart, etc. as well as play 3D video without a problem. It's also mandatory that I have HD Audio.

I ordered a Zotac A04 based on bluray's recommendation and the advertisement that it supports HD Audio but Zotac tells me it doesn't support True HD, or DTS HD. So I'll mosy likely be sending that back.

Right now I have a big huge tower that glows red and can hold 6 HD's but it only holds a small 2.5" drive, a GTX430, and the motherboard. I'd rather build something with that power but that I can hide and not have to hear it.

thats weird, the E-350 can Bitstream HD-AUdio,
i really doubt the E-450 wont be able to do so...

but for FULL 3D playback, you need HDMI 1.4a...
which i believe the AD04 doesnt have...

ZOTAC ZBOX ID80 probably would have been better.
looks like it has HDMI 1.4a ...
and will Bitstream HD-AUdio,,,

I looked at the ID80 and it says Analog Stereo Output
Digital 8-ch via HDMI
S/PDIF

Just like the A04 and Zotac told me that model won';t support HD audio. I'm beginning to run out of faith in Zotac and want to build my own now...

Yep I actually have all the parts, I just probably need a small case, micro axt mobo and the right RAM. The 430 seems to handle hi def audio and 3D without a hitch.
