Hi, I have tried everything and I'm starting to go mad... I have followed carefully all the instructions to get Live TV to work in XBMC to no avail...
I have Mediaportal 1.2.2 and in it's own works like a charm. I have installed the proper plugin, activated the pvr client in XBMC and activated Live TV in Confluence skin. I do get the channel list and even the EPG information, but when I select a channel, the screen displays "Loading" for some seconds and nothing happens... What can I do?

I can't help you further without a proper debug log file. Your current log file does not contain any log info from the MediaPortal pvr addon.
Please enable debug logging under Settings - System - Debugging and post a debug XMBC.log file on pastebin.

Are you using XBMC and the MediaPortal TVServer on the same machine?

Which addon are you using? The "MediaPortal (ffmpeg)" or the "MediaPortal (tsreader) version"?

I got it at last !!!

Since I can't stand still I kept on trying different things...

I opened the Task Manager, searched the task TvService and changed the startup type from Automatic to Automatic (delayed start).

Pros: Now I can have Tv Live in XBMC... at last!!!
Cons: After turning on the computer I have to wait a bit (not much, 1 minute more or less) before I can start Mediaportal or XBMC (or else they refused to work and display an error message). I can live with it ;-)

When you say turning on the computer, is this from sleep mode or a cold start. I am looking to do the same build XBMC/Media Portal and as I wont turn my machine off (sleep mode only) I want to check to see if this con is a non issue for me.

Out of interest what capture card (assume this is a PVR setup) do you use.

I do not use sleep mode, so when I turn on my computer is always a cold start.

My capture card is a Hauppauge HVR-1300 (internal pci card).
