[WIP] PVR Client Addon for XBMC for EPG and full control of Dreambox and DBox2
I found a pre-compiled version that already contains your plugin in version 0.2.6

http://www.scintilla.utwente.nl/~marcelg...tml#master

I have to say that this is really cool !!!

Exactly what I was looking for!

Great!

But installation of the most recent version of your plugin still doesn't work. I tried the installation of the .zip, but XBMC tells me that the zip structure is not suitable. Maybe the file is corrupted?

Please be more specifiy - did you test this with the linux version or the windows version?

If linux - are you sure that you have got the correct architecture?

If windows - where did you get the zip file? From the download location the windows version was not downloadable for some reason.

I have uploaded it again - I'm not sure why it wasn't available the first time, but it is now (tested it myself).

I will have a look tomorrow... ImageImageImage

I just downloaded the newest version XBMC PVR from opdenkamp's site and installed the addon without any problems.

You are 100% sure that you are using this download link for the windows version?:
https://github.com/downloads/jdembski/xb....0.2.8.zip

If you click on "download as zip" on the github site then it will create a ZIP file containing the addon sources. This is a binary addon, so it needs to be compiled and of course XBMC doesn't know what to do with such a ZIP file - so make sure that you are using the correct download link and that you are not downloading the addon sources.

Do you have picons on your enigma2 box? If so then simply copy them over to the XBMC box...

You must specify the folder in the addon settings. If you use a picon-pack from dream box, VU+ or similar then the format (and also the naming) should be alright.

Sorry, but thought I would let you know how I'm getting on with this addon and my issues in case I've missed something stupid.

I couldn't get this to work initially on my raspberry pi, so I compiled it on the Rpi directly. XBMC now starts and enables the plugin without error, but........
(I have debugging logging on)
I configured the addon with IP and left the others at defaults.
In the logs I can see it downloading all my bouquets, etc.. but it then crashes and restarts. Here's the last of the log file before reboot.

EDIT: scrap that, my recordings some how were screwing it up, I cleared the recordings folder, and suddenly it seems to be getting further. As soon as it finishes getting the epg data I'll update with progress. YAY.

I haven't checked the log yet, but the RPi cannot play mpeg2 streams. As at least the SD-Channels are using mpeg2 the RPi is quite useless as a PVR-box.

Also the playback of HD-channels was quite stuttering when I tried it...

Where did you get a PVR-Version of the Raspberry-Pi-XBMC?

Well any idea how to get the HD streaming working? Because if I add my sat box via the tubox method I can play the HD streams (not SD though!)

I bodged the pvr version together using this: http://forum.stmlabs.com/showthread.php?tid=694
