ATM I don't see any skin excepting confluence having widgets... a bit confused.

You mean widgets like recently added?
Most skins have it, but you have to enable it in skin settings...
AEON Nox, AEON MQ3, Cirrus Extended V2, Back Row, XEEBO and so on...
