A bit different?

My Boxee Box is doing my head in with its lack of network performance - it can't stream any 1080p stuff that isn't quite low bitrate material. So I'm building an HTPC myself.

I'm going to use the E45M1-I Deluxe board, slap 4GB of RAM on it and boot from a USB 3.0 stick. Not sure about which remote to go for yet but that can wait. My problem right now is that I can't settle on a case! I've looked at the Antec ISK300, Streacom F1C and a couple of others. Then I thought of VESA-mounting it to the back of my LE40C580 TV. Big Grin

The ISK110 was my first thought, but it looks pretty awful and seems loud. I've found the Travla C293, which is as basic as it gets - 60W DC-DC, on/off switch and VESA screw holes. I'd probably need an adaptor plate as my TV's got 200mm spacing, but that shouldn't be a problem. Thoughts on this? The C293 does have a 60mm fan, but I'm also wondering if people have tried running the E45M1 entirely passively.

Cheers!
