Been checking into SABnzbd and was wondering if it will do what I want to achieve. Trying to be able to download nzb's directly from my Apple tv 2 to my smb and be able to watch them. Will it unrar them ect.?

I use SickBeard to download TV show NZB's automatically. Sickbeard will then download it, repair it if required, unrar it, and copy it to a specified folder.

I have it running on my home server. I don't know if you can run it on your atv2 or your NAS. But it is very good.

Trying to find something that can replace the home server (if possible)

Sickbeard only downloads the nzb files not the the actually files. you still need something like Sabnzbd to do the downloading. The two products work excellent together. I am personally running them on a virtual machine to do all my automation.
