I have a Mac Mini running XBMC RC2 (it's brilliant!).
I have a number of foreign language films where I have to stop the film, go into the subtitles and choose the language. I generally use the Apple remote but if I want to do this, I've been starting the laptop, and doing it from there.
All the buttons on the Apple remote do exactly what you'd expect of them, so it's not a matter of changing the functionality of a button, but I'm wondering whether it's possible to enhance XBMC so that a button (such as the pause button, or the menu button) could bring up this required menu if I press and hold the button for example.
Many thanks
Using Apple remote

You should be able to choose subtitles from the Video OSD directly (indeed, even download subs directly from there).
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules. For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first. ![]() |

Thanks for the quick response.
I was having problems getting the OSD, but following the links in your sig, I found what I hope is the solution. I've no idea why I didn't find that before - apologies. I'll give it a go when I'm next home (Monday). Thanks again. |
