I recently purchased an Surround Receiver from Yamaha and connected it to my iMac G5 using a TOSlink (optical) cable.
Unfortunately when watching movies with AC3 the receiver doesn't get any sound at all.
I already changed the setting to optical and enabled AC3 and DTS in XBMC.
Other applications like "MPlayer OSX Extended", Quicktime, VLC 1.1.9 are working fine. Using those apps receiver shows "Dolby Digital" as Audio Decoder.
Also using my MacBook Pro (Intel) and XBMC 11.0rc2 I have no problems getting the surround sound to the receiver.
Any ideas how to solve this?

Just FYI.
I went back to using XBMC 10.1 on the Intel and the PPC and still the same problem. The MacBook plays DTS and AC3 just fine, while the iMac only plays the DTS. Systems: - iMac: G5 (PPC), Mac OS 10.5.8, XBMC 10.1 - MacBook Pro: Core2Duo (intel), Mac OS 10.7.3, XBMC 11.0rc2 Also, I tried to submit a Bug report but the System is way to complicated. The ticked got closed right away.

here the log: http://pastebin.com/qP96dyK9
I used two test movies for the log. One with AC3 and one with DTS. The test movies can be downloaded here: http://www.digital-digest.com/movies/mov...type=dolby I used "Dolby Digital - Broadway" for the AC3 test and "DTS - The Digital Experience" for the DTS test.
