[Release] Bloomberg
#16
Bloomberg live no longer works. The stream successfully connects and begins to play audio - but no video. Non-live videos still work, however. I am running eden release on a Mac OS X 10.7.4 (same issue exists on 10.7.3). I am running the latest version of flash 11.2.x. Is anyone else seeing this non-error error?

The plugin is updated - should be fixed now

The live feature works now - but in order for it to work, I had to disable the "enable hardware acceleration (VDA Decoder)" setting in the video playback settings menu.

EDIT: Tried v1.0.3 on another machine, and noticed the same quirk.

eeek!! Smile I've no idea about how to solve the error you've just mentioned. It is most likely due to some incompatability between the xbmc player and the stream. I'm happy to change the stream to another one if someone can suggest something better, I'm currently using:

rtmp://cp87869.live.edgefcs.net:1935/live app=live playpath=us_300@21006 pageURL=http://www.bloomberg.com/tv/ swfUrl=http://cdn.gotraffic.net/v/20110210_153738//flash/BloombergMediaPlayer.swf swfVfy=true live=true

Otherwise maybe someone can post the issue as a defect with the XBMC developers

Could you:
- restart XBMC
- try to use the plugin
- before closing XBMC go to the following file (on Windows machines) "%APPDATA%\XBMC\xbmc.log" and post the contents on pastebin (http://pastebin.com/)
- report back the pastebin ID

I've updated the plugin, it should now try to dynamically get the live stream, I've also updated the program scrapers to deal with new site content layout

Terrific plugin but doesn't quite run on my Rasberry Pi. I get audio but the video freezes almost straight away and CPU usage (shown using top command) is up at 90%+. The live stream and the canned videos are much the same. Wondering whether this is anything to do with the python scripts (and ooyala library code). Other video streams e.g. iPlayer work flawlessly.

Not that I'm aware of, the ooyala code is used to negotiate the connection once it's made there should just be a standard video stream. I'd have a look at debugging the video stream (which I've no experience of), it might be that the reolution is too high or your codecs (or rtmp lib) need updating.

It's working fine on my Raspberry Pi. No issues at all.
