It would be great to be able to check the status of your friends on xbox live via xbmc.

Or just have the simple notification when your friends come online.

I find myself checking regularly between my htpc and xbox to see if my friends came online. Weird this add on doesn't exist, seen that it all originated on the xbox

Not sure if there would be much demand for this as a core-feature, but it should work as an add-on quite well. Might want to make a request in the add-on sub-forum to see if anyone will bite. IIRC, it's fairly easy to tap into that API for xbox live, but that's just from what I've heard other people say (and it could have been in my head...).
