I have 2 main isses myself with RC2

1) I get stutter playback on all types of video files for the first 20 seconds at least, often it does not recover and I have to shut down XBMC and re start it to get normal playback. I am using DXVA with hardware acceleration.

2) When I tell XBMC to rescan my library and scrape ON RESUME/STARTUP it hangs and I have to restart XBMC to get functionality back, I am resuming from HIBERNATION.

W7 x64
AMD 785G Chipset with latest drivers installed / x2 5200+EE cpu / 1gb RAM

Also, thought it might be nice to select my own codec somehow, CoreAVC works great on my setup with HD x264.

BTW EDEN IS GREAT!!! Im coming back from media portal.

You'll need to provide a debug log for someone to be able to help out.

You'll need to use an external player if you want to select your own codecs.

Just upgraded to the final. Great job, I must say! I changed my settings to use true full screen mode (not windowed), that made a huge performance difference. Using DXVA2 on hardware acceleration, without a single stutter. Video starts to play immediatly.

Only thing is. When I have "update media library on startup" selected, and ressume from hibernation. It shows the "updating library" stats bar, however does not scrape the new folders and download fanart ect..

Im going to muck about with it, maybe its something that I am doing wrong.

I can definitly say the performance issues with RC2 are gone in final
