I understand that IMDB is for movies, but it also catalogs TV shows in detail as well.

My question is: Why doesn't XMBC allow a user to use IMDB as a TV show scraper?

Because the scraper is only designed for movies and thetvdb is a good source for this information.

Because no one made one yet and possible not all the info you want/need is there
