Hello all,
I recently had my Apple TV2 jail-broken, so I could install the XMBC and of course, since then, I am enjoying a complete new world!

But there is one thing I couldn't understand how to do. I even looked online, both here and into other websites.
How do I watch movies from my PC to XMBC?
I have a folder with movies on my PC, how do I set the Apple TV and the XMBC to connect to it?

We have a full guide (mostly done) that should walk you through all the steps: Adding videos to the library (wiki)

And that's just if you want to take advantage of the full library features. If you just want to use a normal file list with no cover-art, summaries, etc, then you can just do: Adding videos to the library/Adding media sources (wiki). At step 6 select "None" and stop there.

On your computer's side of things: you will need to share the files on the network for them to show up. To keep things simple you can probably just use SMB/Windows sharing: SMB (wiki).
