Linux [EDEN] Autostart XBMC (Broken?!)
#1
Exclamation
I quit XBMC on my machine to launch the desktop of Ubuntu. I though I could easily adjust settings, but that cannot.

The problem I now have is that every time I reboot the desktop appears. I want to autostart XBMC (I selected that option in setup).

Which file do I need to edit to autostart XBMC and see the desktop never again??

Logout from the desktop.

The login screen should appear. In the drop box, change it from XBMCbuntu to XBMC and log in.

Thanks, that seems to be the trick! Smile

Not in my case - I have updated from Eden to Frodo Beta 2 yesterday and everything seemed to go fine.
Now it takes me to the desktop, too.

When I try to log in as xbmc user, the screen gets blank for a few seconds and the desktop login window appears again.
This is the crash log:

XBMC has exited uncleanly 3 times in the last 3 seconds.
Something is probably wrong

Nice message at the end...

EDIT: I have started a new thread.
