Yup! Square design, supports composite (SD) connections, optical out audio, USB up front and what looks to be.... drum roll please ....

Native IR support!

Maybe even a black lit keyboard, but I'm not sure yet. Same price as D-Link's too...

Quote:Like the Boxee Box by D-Link the Iomega TV with Boxee is powered by the Intel® Atom™ processor CE4100, bringing the fire power required to play 1080P HD videos, run a TV browser, play Adobe Flash 10.1 and more. Having both Boxee-based devices running the same system-on-chip is also making life simpler for us, since we can develop virtually identical firmware for both.

Essentially you would need something like a jailbreak since the boxee box is locked down from the vendor. It is not possible to install custom software to it...
But you could have easily found that out by googling a little bit instead of re-opening a year old thread...

Need help? Check out my XBMC Frodo Guide. It contains full featured guides to Sickbeard and CouchPotato as well.

Basically because the D-Link Boxee Box and Iomega TV with Boxee media players that you can buy are locked down / not rooted.

You could just as well ask why you can not run XBMC on a non-developer iPhone/iPad that is not jailbroken and get same answer
