I'm trying to build a as-cheap-as-possible HTPC that will run some variant of the Linux XBMC, let it be XBMCBuntu or OpenElec.
Price of the motherboard is whats most important after making sure that the motherboard using XBMCBuntu or openelec supports the following (flawlessly);
1080p/24
DTS / Over hdmi passthrough
DD5.1 / Over hdmi passthrough
This motherboards needs to come with CPU and MOBO in one, in order to keep the prices down.
Since we're using integrated cpu+mobo I guess it is very important to have full off-load playback so the CPU sits mostly idle when playing videos.
What motherboard do you guys recommend?
