Apple movie trailers in NFO

Exclamation
Is it possible to use Apple (iTunes) movie trailers in NFO files?
Does somehow XBMC support that?

If so - how to pass such URL ?
(Cannot see in page source direct movie links)

The nfo wiki shows a "<trailer></trailer>" tag. have you tried using that?

Flirc now has a forum: forum.flirc.tv

Sure, I was able to force youtube trailers work that way actually Smile

I'm wondering how can I get apple trailer URL (eg http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/avatar/ ) - doesnt work if I put it directly between mentioned XML tags

So question is:
- how to get proper Apple URL
- how to force XBMC to play this content

I wish the trailer button can work like this (all auto):

1) click trailer button
2) launch youtube addon
3) search for "*movie* *year* trailer"; "Avatar 2009 trailer"
4) return results with thumbnails for user to pick

or better yet search the IMDB trailer addon since they have nearly all trailers for new and old movies.

this would eliminate the <trailer> tag needed.

Not sure if it will work but can you point it straight to the .mov file?

http://trailers.apple.com/movies/fox/ava...a_480p.mov

EDIT: Just tested very quickly and it doesn't seem to work.

This might work!
How did you find this direct .MOV link Huh

I'm searching for avatar trailer, this page was found: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/avatar/
then looking into page source and cannot see this "avatar-aug27a_480p.mov" file...

If you click on the down arrow next to the trailers and you get the download links, then right click on them and you can choose copy link which will give you the exact URL of the .mov file.

I'm still looking the way to automate that (kind of searching apple site and somehow finding this link )
Seems this link is served by flash that's why I coudnt find it in site HTML...

The links where you can click play are wrapped in some JavaScript which I can't get to the bottom of to find the actual move files, as when you click on one it just loads a #vidoes-automatic redirect of the same page.

But I've noticed that jDownloader can somehow find those movies!
(eg if I copy HTML to clipboard, JD read those links...)
Means must be way to get this
