Skinning Question

Hi Guys,

Loving Eden after some Windows OS Based errors which are now resolved. Smile

My question is, how do you add skins that are not in the Add Ons repository?

I was using an AEON variant with Dharma and it looked awesome, but now if I add it like I did previously (Renaming to skin.aeon.whatever and placing it in the skins folder) it doesn't show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Handaloo

download and install the skin's repo first using install as zip option, most of them listed here

Then select skin under addons and install

Hey Mudislander,

Thanks for the response.

I've had a look through the list and am not seeing a repository.

This is a link to the skin I use:

https://github.com/djh/aeon

Any ideas?

I got it working on Dharma as I said, but can't seem to get it to work on Eden.

Have you tried downloading the zip and use the install from zip option in the addons to install it ?

edit Just went to look at it and at a quick glance it was worked on three years ago, Eden as had a couple of changes with various library commands, so probably will not work

This one will not work with Eden, as it's outdated in most parts...
If you're running Eden now, you should take a look at AEON NOX or AEON MQ3 in the skin section...

Ah....there's my answer then. Thanks Mad-max.

I did try the zip file method which didn't work.

Hey ho, I'm using NOX at the mo so I'll stick with that.

Thanks guys!
