Linux still tearing xbmcubuntu

running an acer revo 3610 with an ion chipset and getting tearing even after checking Unredirect Fullscreen Window in CCSM
and making sure
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

was added in my xorg.conf i'm still getting horizontal tearing.



any ideas where i should go from here?

Enable vsync in Xbmc, see if that improves it.
