So I had version 10.1 and I had some movies which were are SD .mkv files. They worked flawlessly. Updated to new version 11.0 and some SD movies now have momentary pauses every second during the whole movie, some play, but the screen never shows up (you just see the movie listing) and when this happens you cannot control the movie with certain keys like advance movie 10 seconds or use the "backspace to back out. you have to use the Esc button.

Definitely going back to 10.1 where it worked. Will wait to get someone to fix ALL the issues.

The keymappings with DVDs are a long standing issue and kins annoying, but they play just fine with Eden here.

If you want us to look at this we need to see a debug log. Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then wait a minute or two for all the startup tasks to finish. Play one of the "pausing" videos until it pauses a couple of times then stop the video and close XBMC.

If you're using Windows open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.
