I was wondering as i would like to add a DVB satellite and terrestial pci cards to the computer, and was wondering if these cards were supported by xbmc or not, am only thinking about this, so haven't a clue what i will buy, if at all.

But i would like to know if they i would be able to watch them within XBMC itself!
Thanks

You should take a look at the PVR-threads: http://forum.xbmc.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=136

For short: XMBC is in development for supporting some of the most popular tv-server-solutions out there as a pure front-end, so that one would have to install a tv-server and a pvr-enabled (non-official, yet) XBMC to face your desired tv-server.

Direct support for tv-cards will most likely never make it to XBMC.
