They are open enough to don't be saw as an opensource enemy and probably the released code is what is needed for XBMC on some devices, but I had serious problems getting git access to their code -a lot of code missing for a lot of devices in the web tarballs- even being in representation of a company that sold tablets based on their devices . Also, I got this access cancelled without notificaction some time ago.

Not from what I see. not at all Smile

NIce to know. I will love to see them acting like good FOSS citizens again.

I'm also interested on the hdmi audio output , any clues on this?

So it's a Pivos XIOS DS Media Play -> http://www.pivosgroup.com/my-website#!vs...vstc0=xios

Which was launched last Weds -> http://www.pivosgroup.com/052112#!__052112

And the mrp ~ $114.99 which will pitch it around the atv type of market then.

Very interesting although I wonder how it will compete with the wave of slightly cheaper mele/All winner based boxes that have come out. Although reading your posts Davilla it sounds like you have had some support from the manufacturer.

Also I wonder what xbmc is running on top of on this box ;-)

Well done though for whatever effort you guys are putting into this as I'm sure all will be revealed soon.

Bring on the sub $100 xbmc era

I can't wait to get friends and family tiny, open source ARM XBMC boxes for Christmas. Santa's going to look a lot like Richard Stallman. Wink

Looks like its running on the single core AML8726-M. Can't wait to see XBMC running devices powered by dual core AML8726-MX.

I got a bit bored, so made a list of all Allwinner A1x devices I could find.
http://www.j1nx.nl/arm/list-allwinner-a1x-devices/

They are all potentional XBMC devices. I will update the list with including the links to more info per device. If you know of any other devices out there, please let me know.
