Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ?
Ok, I've analyzed all my files.
All profiles are "AVC High" or "AVC Main" and all with weighted P-frame prediction > 0 ( http://linux-sunxi.org/CedarXVideoRender...own_issues )
The same profile reported by http://linux-sunxi.org/CedarXVideoRenderingChart to have problem.

About 90% movie on the net. And recorded with an high-end smartphone.

Definitively, now A10 is not suitable as media player because it cannot play almost all AVC movie.
We hope in the future...

If you run into the weighted P-frame issue (this is a bug in native linux blob), you should try to go the libhybris way: http://linux-sunxi.org/CedarX/libve

Done.
libhybris works well, better than native linux blob.
Squares and magenta color artifact are disappeared.
But playback is not perfect again: every movies (720p, 1080p, .....) looks to be ... slow, as massive frame drop. Jerkily.

Hm. I recommend you to use stage/Frodo and undo the RESET to FLUSH. There aren't much more significant changes to the original code from empat0, which is reported to work at least like reported in the wiki-chart. The remaining issues are probably issues with codec or your files in general. Sum up to the point that you can report same behaviour as in the rendering chart.
The fixblue-branches include some more changes, which at least I haven't tested myself... So maybe they are somelike buggy.
Maybe it's helpful, if you share your files, list them in the wiki, so that others can reproduce your issues.

Dear Rellla,
Many thanks and respect for hosting great distro! Smile

I'm trying to make a home media center with Cubieboard A20. And only two small problems remains:

1. I have similar video decoding problems: part of h.264 files played with "frame dropping" effect.
the issue: http://www.cubieforums.com/index.php/top...ml#msg4911

the samples: https://mega.co.nz/#F!fNhzFBrB!Ys2obUJRrxdofLFYKCfyvw

2. LibCEC always disabled, even if set manually in /tools/a10/depends/xbmc/Makefile

any ideas?

Which revision of xbmc do you use? What value is the CPU governor set to? What blob do you use? And which kernel (cedar module)? Is there anything obvious in the logs?
I plan to try xbmc on A20 the next days myself, so maybe I can reproduce some of the issues...

I haven't dealt with CEC yet. I don't know if it's implemented in the kernel at all. I don't believe so. And I have no clou for the xbmc side... Sorry.

1. Stage/Frodo from git://github.com/rellla/xbmca10.git

2. scaling_governor - interactive, scaling_max_freq - 912 000

3. /usr/local/hybris/lib/libvecore.so (as in http://linux-sunxi.org/CedarX/libve)

4. kernel made by patwood

5. xbmc.log

I found a SDK Android code for allwinner A10 with cedarx calls to openMax standard. Maybe it can be useful:

https://anonfiles.com/file/78f773e3ba257...fe6983dba9

I did not build an android version with this code. I'm moving soon, I don't have the time to play with it, but if someone build a version of android with it and build xbmc with openmax support for video decoding, it would be great.

Here are two links i got from the seller of an A20 processor. After two weeks he sent me this but I cant burn this image to SDCard. Keep getting "Script NOT found! Please use new version image!" Is there something I can do? It has XBMC built into it. I tried using win32diskimager, it burned the image but nothing on the box. Can someone help me or direct me?

I've just found this post on the internet
http://olimex.wordpress.com/2013/12/18/n...eleration/
Its A10 and Mali GPU with CedarX linux ... they claim its HW accelerated - anyone knows how to port grab this for Mele A1000/A2000 !?

If its HW so it means XBMC runs OK ... Huh

Need more information ... where are devs now ?!

Great news ! If you had also the libHybris work being done, we should have a great XMBC for A10 available shortly
