Help with upgrade to Eden
#1
Hello,

I am trying to upgrade to Eden using mysql db. It appears as if my videos are not getting moved to the new db. Here is the log file:

Can anyone please help me out?

No one can help me?

A little more information. Looking at the mysql db folder, it looks like the the dbs are created. I get an xbmc_video60 and xmbc_music18 db. However I keep getting all of these errors in my logs and when I select either TV Shows or Movies I am taken to a screen with three selections..."Files", "Playlists" and "Video Addons". Is this the proper behavior on a successful upgrade? If I select Files I am taken to the proper video files But I am not sure if it is using the mysql db or a backup local sql db.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello,

Thanks for the help. I followed the instructions on that page and am still not sure of what is going on, whether the upgrade is working or not. Like I said, I get the new db's made, yet I still get all of these errors in my log and I am not sure if the mysql db is being used or a backup local db.

When I select "TV Shows" or "Movies" from the main menu, after an upgrade, I am now taken to 3 selections rather than my library, "Files", "PLaylists" and "Video Addons". Is this the correct behavior? If so, how do I get directly to my libraries, bypassing the 3 presented selections, like I was able to do in Dharma?

Thanks,
Mark

ah...i had a similar issue in Dharma
it has been a while and im not in front of it but it seems you lost the "default"
I have a remote with a keyboard on it so it may be different for you
when you get the screen with the choices I can right click on one and get a menu where there is a choice for "set as default" or something to that manner

excuse my lack of knowledge on some of the built in terminologies lol

Export your DB in Dharma as if you were setting this up for the first time. Drop your MySQL DBs, make sure the "xbmc" user in MySQL has the permissions to make new DBs. Follow the instructions like normal and import from that backup you made.
