XBMC file cleaner is an addon that deletes watched files after a user defined period.
It is automated and essential if you have limited disk space. But the developer is dropping support for it :/
Is there an alternative I can use?
Thanks.
Alternative to XBMC file cleaner.

I use to have a mod of the Dharma filecleaner, I have now re-applied my mod to the work in progress Eden filecleaner.
As the the original is not released yet it is a bit risky. My mod can be used the same way as standard by changing the default to delete which is fine as long as it is not combined with adding show exceptions. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=102085

It is not really mine as I just copied the work in progress original for eden.
I am working on a GUI for the show selection right now. EDIT: With that said, I did fix a few errors for my own use so if you have to use a version today, mine is working better than the current snapshot of the original. Since it is work in progress you have to be very careful and test before use. No money back! I have not tested samba but there are some comments about it on the original git. It is supposed to work I think, but like I said, TEST!

On 12.1 - it works, deletes movies but doesn't delete their folders that contains subtitles and sample videos. Would love to be able to remove folders and trash files once a movie is deleted.
However I also get "Error accessing video library database." error and it doesn't remove TV shows.
