"Show fanart"/"bring fanart to foreground" button?

Is there a way to map any kind of command to a button that will show the fanart that's in the background of whatever menu you are on with no obstructions? Sometimes it would be nice to take a look at the whole picture in the background instead of it being obscured by a menu or two or three.
