Getting 1080i in XBMCbuntu Eden on HDMI

How can I tweak to get 1080? XBMCbuntu only allows up to 720p. The motherboard has Nvidia Ion2.

Most likely your display does not support that resolution (or does not report it correctly).

It does and I have been using the 1080 output before on Windows

Sounds like the drivers just aren't picking upthat resolution on your monitor. You'll probably have to edit your xorg.conf manually and add the 1080 mode there.

Were you able to get this working? I have the same problem with Intel core i3/HD2000 video and my plasma (no problem getting 1080i output in Windows).

This thread is the best resource to begin with. You can either try the "automatic install" which others have reported works fine, or you can read his post and follow the steps manually. Its quite easy to do.
