After much searching on here I've finally decided on this build.

I'm just about to make my order so would appreciate any input or improvements anyone thinks I could make or anything I'm missing like fans or coolers or anything. This will be the first PC I've ever built so I'm pretty clueless in that regard.

Here's my list

First lot of my stuff got delivered this morning.

Has anyone got a guide to putting it all together they would recommend so I could be reading up in advance please.

Also be interested about what drivers to install and how to adjust the fan speed and bios stuff.

Again this is my first build so the more help I can get the better.

Just looking at the RAM I got off Amazon (it's not the one in the link above)

It's model number is CMX4GX3M2B1600C9.

Anyone confirm that will work with the above build?

spec wise, the CMX4GX3M2B1600C9 should work.

I've run into some issues with my HTPC. Most recently, when I start it up it hangs at the BIOS Version/Date for more than a minute before booting. Also, usb device recognition is spotty at best. Does this sound like a bad motherboard? (I'm clueless when it comes to hardware-related stuff).

Thanks.

Oh, I actually put that in the wrong thread... Meant to put it in Eskro's build thread. Anyway, I had another of the same motherboards lying around because I'm building the same thing for my dad. I swapped it out and everything's working beautifully.
