It's working on my config after switching from Dharma to Eden on a Ubuntu 10.4. I had nothing to change on this point.

But if you use a more recent version of Ubuntu, the way to manage the USB dongle must be changed. That's why I'm continue to use the 10.4 LTS.

I done this for my step dad's HTPC I built for him using beta 3 of Eden. It works. One thing I don't like is the repeat function on it is a bit touchy.

The remote control is the Xbox DVD dongle

Greetings, I have several days trying to install this remote in XBMCbuntu, but I can not install it gives me error when installing the modules ( lirc-modules-source ).

This is the error that tells me: Confused

sudo apt-get instal lirc-modules-source

I got the following response:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package lirc-modules-source is not available, but is referred to by another pack
age.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
lirc

E: Package 'lirc-modules-source' has no installation candidate

I currently have lirc installed and I cannot proceed without lirc-modules-source.

I would also like to assign to buttons on the remote control, 3 to increase the volume, 6 to lower the volume, mute 9 for, 1, 4 to zoom, 2 to activate the subtitles and 5 to change the language audio.
