I upgraded from Dharma to Eden and now all movies and videos are much darker and have much higher contrast. The same videos look fine if i play them using something like media player classic.

I've tried both the dxva and pixel shader for video playback with no effect. Has something changed and has anyone else noticed this? Is there any way to fix this? If i can't fix it, can i just download and install version 10 to downgrade?

Did you turn on the option for frequency regulation (Video-Playback-Adjust display refresh rate to match video)? I run at 60Hz, with that option the video becomes a bit darker if a 50Hz video is played.

I too have noticed this.

booted from a HDD image I took before the upgrade (on a Mac) and checked the videos through Dharma. Yep, Eden's video playback is definitely darker and more "contrasty".

This coupled with the too-much-bass audio and clipping, I'm thinking of going back to Dharma.
