It's been a while, and honestly I don't remember what was retained and what wasn't. I don't remember any difficulties, though. Ultimately, it didn't matter, because I couldn't continue using Eden in the state it is in.

I dont know if everyone is experiencing the same thing my video is not crashing fast forwarding but it skips to a different part of the movie, it is basically with multi file bluray mt2s files, or any multi file dvd, whenever i fast forward faster then 2x, it skips to a different chapter..... it is very annoying and ruins the xbmc experience.
Im sure if any developer on xbmc has trouble reproducing just try a bluray title with seamless branching..... fast forward faster then 2X and it will skip backward to a different time in the movie.
Anytime i fast forward it wont crash, but it will skip backward to a different point in the movie....
Maybe I should start a new thread i dont think this is the same issue being experienced here.

I have XBMC running on three different HTPC's, and this problem exists on all three of them.
A few things they have in common:
- They are all running on intel core CPU's (2+ core each, varying generation)
- They all use AMD/ATi video cards; one is a 6450, other is a 5750, and finally a 7850.
- They all use the HDMI audio "card" built into the video card, rather than a standalone sound card. Two are connected to HDMI supported receivers, and one connected to an HDMI tv. (This is the way to go btw, I have two very nice sound systems, and creative cards sound like trash in comparison.)

I had the issue on a PC which was using the onboard sound, not passthrough HDMI.
Mind you I've now switched to monthly builds which solve a rare bug in the latest 'official' build. I haven't seen the crash since - but it was a rare crash.

I can confirm, when I use the latest frodo monthly alpha, the skip crash issue doesn't appear present. Plus it has a lot of nice features like DTS-HD and TrueHD, and the recent movies/tv shows.

I can also confirm that last frodo monthly build (alpha 5) is skipping bug free

You can add me to the list of people for whom Frodo is skipping without hanging or crashing. It's been good for a couple of weeks now.
