Wow am I in the dark. I've really lost touch since starting school and havent checked into XBMC as frequent as normal. What a great build my friend. It's seems like you've picked all the right tools for a perfect set-up. Hey..... you know imma copy off you right!! Wink
I thought that you're an Intel guy, and why not another Intel. You can have another Sandy Bridge with HD3000 now- [Mini-ITX] Intel Core i3-2105 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz + HD3000 65W.....

>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC

>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

What's up Blu..

That's right, I did go the SandyBridge route, but only after a strong recommendation from Eskro and as it turns out, a pretty good choice. But... I would like an all-in-one option. A CPU/APU that can facilitate HDaudio/1080pVideo fluidly without the need for a peripheral GPU. It seems that the AMD A6/A8 chips are doing great in this area as opposed to Intel. In addtion... Beer's set-up just looks koolNod Maybe the i3-2105 can do this too huh??

Yes man... in an intense 12month IT Academy studying to challenge the MCP, MCSA and MCSE certification exams. Hopefully I can begin contributing to XBMC in addition to making a decent salary. Lol... not too many chicks so less distraction. I had been thinking of going the AMD route ever since Eskro's AMD posts.

Why not? You can use the same case as Beer for i3-2105 too....

CpTHOOK copy my build and you will be happy happy.... all in one as you say! I actually thinking of building another for my main desktop pc you know the basics surf...download , sickbeard , SAb... and what ever else..... Smile

I been testing this A6-3500 it's wonderful....

Honestly you dont need the A8..... uses more power..... if you game ok....

But this A6 does pretty... well....

AMD did something great here.....

And this ISK300 case....once you see it in person and hear how silent it is..... you will be hooked.

But you guys do what you want.... that is why I am trying to write everything on it so you can copy me and have a great experience for the first time you build it.

I just ordered everything for an i3-2105 build in the 300-65. Should all be here next week, will let you know how it goes.

What other types of RAM would work with this build (i.e., low profile)? That particular Kingston RAM is relatively expensive here in CDA.

If you're looking to use the ASRock A75M-ITX, here is the official list of supported memory:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory.us.asp?Model=A75M-ITX

Personally, I was on a tight budget so went for Crucial memory, they have a compatibility checker on their own website. Think I paid about £20 for 4GB.

Yup regular crucial ram works fine! no problems....

But i read somewhere that 1866 ram works better with the A series APU's
