right now i have it hooked thru the pci slot. I am hoping Dougie can make the slot cover with the right hole in it so i can secure the 4 pin mini-din jack to it for a cleaner look.

Can you upload some pics. I think am gonna go for the same one as you. How long are the cables? Or should i go for the 150w one

do you think using the 300-150 case would solve these problems?

The back, I had to push out that metal when I had the tiny 250w PSU inside the case (from my Apex case):

Inside, the white connector is part of the picoPSU, it's where the 4 pin adapter connects:

picoPSU, its hard to see it down there plugged in the slot. The cables come VERY close to the 2nd exhaust fan I have in there. I'm sure I don't need the fan but the Enermax fans don't make any noticable noise.

Nothing too special about the power brick, its big, has a green light on it.

I am using this on a A8 3850 which has a TDP of 100w. You can get away with a 150w on a A6 3500 fine. The 192w a/c adapter is still only giving the computer 160w max since thats what the 160XT picoPSU is rated at.

Poor cable... hope you get that fixed.

Cool pics.... nice job!

But yes from what people been telling me you can get away with the 90W Pico I am about to buy.... on a A6-3500 ...... and maybe even a 65W A8...

and my 90W Pico has all the connections I need + the P4 and I will be able to use the stock hole.

" You can get away with a 150w on a A6 3500 fine." that is way more power then needed....

Yea I am sure the 90w will work with the A6, but definitely not with my A8. I don't think there is a 65w A8. I'd rather go a lil overkill knowing it will work instead of hoping. My electric bill isn't going to be noticeably higher cause I went with a 160XT picoPSU Tongue

Thanks for the pics i have the A8 3820 that's a 65watts 4 core's. I just don't no what to do. If i go for this it's gonna cost me around £85 to £100 more then the case it self. The case was £70
Do you guys think i can get away with 150w for my A8 3820

Yes, there are A8-3800 and A8-3820 with 65W TDP. Since it have more powerful CPU and iGPU, it'll always peak higher than A6-3500.....

I might go for PicoPSU-160-XT & ACDC-12V/150W that way i dont need to cut anything and plus i can upgrade down the road to a 160 brick. Plus do you guys think these will handle trinity apu cause i might upgrade to the a10 5700 when it comes out

It should be enough....but I know how my mind work- when I have a powerful CPU as the A8, I will probably end up overclock it and doing multi-task with it......would as well get the 160 version so you have some room for future adventure....!

I own that Blu....

Why are you pushing the 160xt?

If the 150 fits the stock hole and its all you need...
