Networking problems

Ok, I'm stumped.

I'm running XBMC on two Macbook Pros, a PC running Vista and a rooted Apple TV 2. I have a 1TB portable drive configured as a shared drive directly connected to my airport extreme router. About four days ago all four of my devices have started having the same problem connecting to XBMC. Each opens and runs fine, but when I go to select a media folder I always get the same response:

"Error operation not permitted" and "remote share could not connect to server"

I did update to the Dharma official release a few weeks ago, but have been able to stream movies no problem since then (up until everything stopped working). I've tried reconfiguring my router, and I even reset it to defaults and ran through the initial setup again to no avail.

The really strange thing is that the shared drive is also the time capsule for both Macs, and that works fine (as it always has). Also, I can access the drive normally from all of my computers. Lastly, while I'm in the shared drive folder if I right-click and select open with>XBMC it works, but only for that movie!!

I've done a pretty exhaustive google search, and this is the first time I've ever had to post something asking for help...

HELP!

Need debug log (wiki)

From one of the Macbooks:

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=1317
Your debug xbmc.old.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=1318

If it will help to see the other or the AppleTV I can upload those too. Its the same easily reproducible problem for all of them. Although the PC is working now after a reboot, but it is hardwired to the router with the shared drive in question.

I must have blanked on this, because you mentioned it in the first post, but you're on v10. Your best bet is to upgrade to XBMC v11 and see if that fixes it, as v11 does have a number of fixes related to network protocols. I don't see anything obvious in the logs to explain the error.

Had thought I was running 11 on all my devices...Just updated on the two laptops, and had the same problem. Here's the new logs:

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=1349
Your debug xbmc.old.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=1350

Thanks for your help. I'm losing my mind trying to figure this one out.

And problem solved. Changed the smb settings on one of my laptops (the most recent acquisition) and all of my devices started working. Serendipitous to say the least, but thanks for help anyway.
