Hello people,

I want to jailbreak my atv2 and use xbmc.

Can somebody tell me if it works with an network harddisk and how it works.
Does the network harddisk need the xbmc software or can I use a simple network harddisk thats on my home network.

I want to watch my movies and listen to music.
And I have the app xbmc constellation on my ipad that I want to use.

There is no attached storage to the ATV2, so you have to have your files available on your network somewhere, so the quick answer is yes, it will work. You'll just need to share the files - no special XBMC software required on your "networked harddisk". You can share via smb, nfs, etc.

Wiki has a lot of info you will want/need. Might want to start with the Quick Start Guide:

http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBM...tart_Guide

(yes, that remote will work with ATV2)

You'll also need this, once you're ready to install:

Good luck.

Yes, following the instructions on the links just given.

Don't forget to also read the iOS FAQ

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc
