I have a question. I've been playing around with XBMC on my mac before deciding whether to buy an apple tv. How well do movies stream? So far what i've tried on my mac using both ethernet and wireless is that it works for about 10 seconds and then is choppy as it has to buffer. How long does it usually take to buffer a movie?

I'm trying to figure out if the apple tv with xbmc can fulfill what i get from my movie channel package and save $.

Are you streaming from the Internet? If so it depends on the speed of your Internet connection and the resolution and bitrate of the film.

yea I am. Is there a way to change the resolution and bitrate?

No, because that's set by whatever server is streaming the video to you. It would be worth looking at the web site to see if there are any options for choosing the resolution or bitrate.
