Hi All,
I am new to xbmc and have tried to install it on various machines (2 one corei5 one zotac 41 ion) I seem to have a different audio issue with each of the machines but with the end result of no audio. I have tried openelec and xbmcbuntu and installing over linux mint on both machines. One day I have audio then the next with the same movie I get the much talked about error message on screen " audio not initialised".
Is there a top level introduction for new people to computer audio as to how the devices read and output the audio?
I love the xbmc interface and xbmc commander is superb....but so many audio issues!
I think I have tried to sort it for around 10 hours so far. Time to ask for help.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Silly suggestion. If you have your PC going to a receiver, make sure that it is on before XBMC starts. Whenever I forget and turn mine on after, I get that message.

Jogee thanks for the suggestion. This had not occurred to me I'll try this and reort back.
