xbmc on Atv2 is extremely slow after configuring MySQL
#31
Well, I'm sill having a very slow connection. When I enter my TV-Shows or Movies it takes 10-15 secs. to open it.

I'm running the xbmc database on my Synology DS412+ (MariaDB).
I have search the web and found alot about running 'ALTER TABLE xxxxxx ENGINE=InnoDB' on a bunch (most) of XBMC tables and adding this 'skip-name-resolve' to the my.cnf file.
I have done all this, but doesn't solve my issue - still very slow. I have checked the SQL server and all the variables from the my.cnf file are loaded correctly. Also all the XBMC tables (except the xxxVIEW) has datatype InnoDB.
The my.cnf file was made by copying the draft 'my-small.cnf' (provided with the MariaDB) and add the skip-name-resolve to it and uncommented all about the innoDB. Here's the content of my 'my.cnf'-file:

# Example MySQL config file for small systems.
#
# This is for a system with little memory (<= 64M) where MySQL is only used
# from time to time and it's important that the mysqld daemon
# doesn't use much resources.
#
# MySQL programs look for option files in a set of
# locations which depend on the deployment platform.
# You can copy this option file to one of those
# locations. For information about these locations, see:
#
# In this file, you can use all long options that a program supports.
# If you want to know which options a program supports, run the program
# with the "--help" option.

# The following options will be passed to all MySQL clients
[client]
#password = your_password

socket = /run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

# Don't listen on a TCP/IP port at all. This can be a security enhancement,
# if all processes that need to connect to mysqld run on the same host.
# All interaction with mysqld must be made via Unix sockets or named pipes.
# Note that using this option without enabling named pipes on Windows
# (using the "enable-named-pipe" option) will render mysqld useless!

--------------------------------------------------

As said I have checked the SQL server (through phpmyadmin) and all these variable values are loaded correctly.

I use the confluence skin, so it shouldn't be the skin slowing it down.

Am I missing something here?
