I'm sure this question is totally noob but I seem to be having immense difficulty with it.

I am trying to add content to XBMC to my laptop. All my media is on my PC
Though my shared folders on my PC shows up on all the computers on my network, in home group and in network I cannot view any of the folders from my laptop in XBMC.
I have made sure the share folders are being shared with everyone on network, not just homegroup.
I attempted disabling my UAC as one forum a person did this and it worked.

The only way I am able to add any content is by installing XBMC on my PC. Then a folder shows up called XBMC (My Computer) which has my content.
This is a little annoying though because I need to follow TV Shows>files>XBMC (computer). This path will only work if XBMC is running on my PC when I want to access.

When I try to add by selecting Add videos>browse>SMB. My laptop is the only option. Nothing on the network will show T___T

AHHH so frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you get a debug log (wiki) where you try to add/access the SMB source? That will show us what is going on in XBMC when it attempts the connection.
