First of all, I'm a total beginner when it comes to Linux but the installation of XBMCBuntu on my Asus E350 system worked liked a charm. Everything worked out of the box. But when it comes to adapt the look an feel to my needs I have some problems with custom subtitle font files. XBMC seems to ignore the .ttf files in my selected folder. When I try to put these fonts directly into the dedicated folder under xbmc\media\fonts I get an error because of priviledge limitations. Every attempt to log in as root or move these files with the build in XBMC filebrowser failed. any ideas?
