This has bugged me for years.....
Is there any way to turn the HTPC on with a remote control?
I have a windows 7 htpc with an MCE remote.

There are some different options for the install depending on the type of case you have. I can explain what I did to avoid drilling a hole in my case if you are interested. Dennis

What motherboard specifically? My Intel media-series all have a CIR header that can be used for this function.

well, if your INTEL has CIR then, all u need is INTESET CIR RECEIVER!

I use this . It does require a 24 pin ATX connector to get the 5Vsb. My ITX MB uses a 24 pin (I think majority of them do) and I think pico psus are also in 24 pin format?
