no movie information?

hi, i'm coming from a windows install of xbmc to try the new eden xbmcbuntu, and now i can't hit the info button on movies to bring up movie information anymore, or via the context menu for that matter.... i have a mysql library setup on another windows machine that has xbmc on it and it works fine and this worked fine before on windows, why has it seemingly disappeared? i can still use it for tv shows, just not movies... fanart, thumbs, extrathumbs, media tags, everything that shows in the list is fine and comes up just can't view the info?
