For the Scythe Shuriken:
I didn't even know the difference, novice here! Is one better than the other? And you want to move from Kingston to Crucial now?!? Really that much better?

Witch ever ram you choose is fine.... kingstone is great... I have that one and its been stable after 8 hours of memtes86+ ...now for your Shuriken either is fine....
I believe both will fit the ML03B but I can not confirm..... This one is the easy one to put on..... Very quiet at low RPM - High RPM LOUD I have this Scythe SCSK-1100 100mm Shuriken Rev. B 3 Heat Pipes CPU Cooler This one is easy too but just take your time..... Very quiet at low RPM - High RPM A Little less louder.... and this Scythe SCBSK-2100 120mm Sleeve BIG Shuriken 2 Rev. B Enjoy! "A6-PACK" The Original ☆ unRAID Server ☆ MCE Remote Turn ON HTPC FOUND! w/DONGLE Time to sit back, relax and enjoy XBMC.... CHEERS!!! |

Updated to Scythe SCBSK-2100, thanks!
Question: Is a case fan really required, or simply by preference? |

It all depends on your temps.... use CPUID hardware monitor or something...... if you use one of your case fans and its not loud and ok with you then leave it on..... the ML03B supports 4x80mm fans but u can start off without buying them...
i dont think you'll really need them. your not using a FanLess GPU in there too so... i woulnd't worry. |
